There will be tough opposition for Häcken in the Champions League.

The tough opposition means that Markus Johannesson believes that Häcken will find it difficult to move on.

- It's a fun draw.

But if you look at the groups, the only one where you would have had a greater chance to move on was Group B. Benfica is deceptive, there is financial muscle and potential to recruit good players.

But above all Lyon and Bayern Munich are very good.

It will be a tough road to move on but very fun matches, says Johannesson.

Four success factors

Normally, Häcken should not be able to move on from the group, says Johannesson.

But for them to be able to do that, according to him, four different factors need to work.

- They will have to overperform and keep the squad they have now.

They need to believe in their game idea all the way, dare to play the football you do at home without being naive for that matter.

Then they need to have a lot of luck on the road, he says.

The experience in focus

But according to Johannesson, it is not primarily about getting a top result this tournament.

The focus should instead be on gaining experience for the future.

- The most important thing for Häcken is to get there.

It means money, it means prestige.

This is the first time Häcken is playing group games, it is the first time we play this way we do now.

They have done very well and that they got here has been very important for Swedish women's football, Johannesson concludes.
