Finland's Kalle Rovanperä had the lead before the final leg of the tough Acropolis Rally.

35 seconds before Ott Tänak.

Overall leader Sebastien Ogier shadowed just behind in third place.

And it was Rovanperä who was the strongest in the end.

After a strong finish on the 15th leg, he finished 1.1 seconds ahead of the British Elfyn Evans and secured the victory in both the last leg and the total.

And it was a happy Finnish winner who stood at the top of the podium and heard the Finnish national anthem.

- I did not feel so comfortable when I came here to Greece.

But thanks to the team, things are going very well.

The car is fantastic, many thanks to everyone, says Rovanperä.

Ott Tänak came in second place and Sebastien Ogier took third place in the Acropolis Rally.

Ogier leads the total in the WRC by 180 points.

Solberg did not start

Oliver Solberg had a heavy weekend in Greece and had to break the competition during the two initial days.

In Saturday's race, he smashed the wheel of his car.

That damage to the car meant that he did not start when the rally ended.

- It was a sad end after a strong reason, says SVT's expert Jonas Andersson.
