Brazil and several other Latin American football associations have now released their professionals active in the Premier League for the games over the weekend.
As the world association FIFA announced on Saturday, the national associations from Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Paraguay are withdrawing their complaints against a mission.
According to the British broadcaster BBC, eleven affected professionals are available to their clubs.
The background was a dispute between the clubs and the Brazilian association.
The Premier League clubs had agreed not to send professionals to World Cup qualifiers in countries on the so-called red list of the British government because of the corona pandemic.
This includes all South American countries.
Players would have to go into hotel quarantine for ten days after their return.
The Brazilian association therefore wanted the players to be banned.
"Sensible solution"
In its communication, FIFA declared that it was giving in with positive signals and a constructive dialogue with the British government with a view to the next international match window in October. On the other hand, the fact has been recognized that the players have no influence on the extreme situation caused by the corona pandemic and the currently imposed restrictions. According to a letter from FIFA President Gianni Infantino and the heads of the English Association and the Premier League, the British government is "now open to a sensible solution with the three organizations".
However, clubs whose South American players traveled to the most recent qualifying games also have problems. Leader Tottenham Hotspur's coach Nuno Espirito Santo said Argentinians Giovani Lo Celso and Cristian Romero and Colombian Davinson Sanchez would not return to London until 19 September.
