Although the transfer market closed at the end of last month without realizing Real Madrid's dream of contracting Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe, the royal club continues to prepare to sign a preliminary agreement with the young French striker early next year.

Mbappe's contract with Saint-Germain expires next June, and he has the right to negotiate with any team starting next January.

And Spanish press reports stated that Real Madrid is confident of an agreement with the French star early next year, to move to the team at the beginning of next season.

Those reports indicated that Real Madrid had prepared the contract that would link Mbappe to the Royal Club until 2028, with an annual salary of up to 30 million euros, with a bonus of up to 80 million euros when signing the contract.

In the latest leak of the terms of the upcoming contract, the Spanish newspaper "AS" reported information confirming that the contract will include a penalty clause of one billion euros, to immunize the player from the ambitions of other teams.

Real Madrid had previously put the one billion euro clause in the contract of its former star Cristiano Ronaldo, and the current contract of striker Karim Benzema includes a penalty clause of the same amount.

Real Madrid had offered 180 million euros to sign Mbappe in the last summer transfer market, but the Paris Saint-Germain administration refused to negotiate, and confirmed its adherence to the 22-year-old player.

The management of the Parisian club is seeking to convince Mbappe to renew and continue with the team that has strengthened its ranks during this season with high-caliber deals, foremost of which is the contract with Argentine star Lionel Messi.
