The Emirates team is threatened with losing a tie point against Al Dhafra in the third round of the Professional League (ADNOC) the day before yesterday, due to the registration of eight foreign, resident and born players in the match list, unlike Article 4.2.8 of the league regulation, which stipulates the registration of only 7 players .

The eight players are the three foreigners, Walid Sebbar and Nafati from Morocco, Joseph from Ivory Coast, Nigerian residents Olayne, Brazilians Da Mota and Silva, and the newborns and children of female citizens Abdullah Kouri and Abdel Salam Aref.

The Emirates Club refused to comment on the matter, while the resigned member of the club’s board of directors, Basem Al Shamsi, issued a statement to Abu Dhabi Sports Channel, accusing the club’s management of not dealing properly with the team’s matters, and said that he refused to be a “supplement of a number”, which prompted him to submit his resignation.

On the other hand, the team coach, Moroccan Tariq Al-Sektiwi, said that the "Hawks" played a great match, and he could have achieved the victory if he took advantage of the opportunities in the required manner, and he expected that the Al Dhafra match would be the real start of the team in the league, after completing the ranks and appearing distinctly, waiting for more of harmony between the players during the upcoming matches.

The Emirates team has a point after three rounds of the league.
