Sweden has so far played four qualifying matches and in addition to yesterday's loss, they have three wins with them.

This means that Sweden currently has nine points with four matches left to play.

Sweden is currently second in the group after Spain which has 13 points - but then the Spaniards have two games more played.

Closest behind Sweden, the Greeks are chasing 6 points.

The decisive match

For Sweden, the closest home matches against Kosovo and Greece await, then Georgia away.

If Sweden wins all three matches at the same time as Spain wins its away match against Greece, the group will most likely be decided when the teams meet in Sevilla on 14 November.

Sweden would come to the decisive match with 18 points and Spain 16 points.

This means that Sweden needs to play a draw and get at least one point to win the group.

This will be the sixth time the nations meet in a qualifying match for the European Championships or the World Cup.

Both teams have won two of the previous five, with a draw.

They have both won their matches at home.

Playoff

The team that wins the group qualifies directly for the World Cup.

The group's second goes on to the playoffs where they get another chance to qualify.

In the playoffs, 12 teams will be divided into four playoff groups where the teams will meet in the semifinals and a final match.

This means that three teams will stand as final winners and thus each take a place in the World Cup.
