The Dubai Sports Council announced that it had received more than 100 nomination files in the categories of the eighth session of the "Dubai Model for Sports Excellence", in which athletes, clubs and football companies are evaluated during the sports seasons (2018-2019) and (2019-2020), in preparation for announcing the winners in October 14 next.

The Dubai Sports Council has concluded evaluation visits to clubs and football companies in Dubai, participating in the "Dubai Model for Sports Excellence", in cooperation with a specialized international expert house, to ensure justice and equality between all clubs and football companies, according to a statement of the Council.

The Dubai Sports Council continues to organize the event in an effort to continue developing the administrative and technical work in the clubs and football companies under its umbrella, motivating boards of directors to innovate, and launching initiatives that enhance the results of clubs and develop their impact on society in general, and for the athletes in particular.

A press statement from the Dubai Sports Council, yesterday, said: "The evaluation process in the eighth edition took place through the hybrid system, which varied between evaluation by attendance in clubs, and evaluation from a distance, and the Council received all files through an electronic platform prepared by the Council, in order to enhance the Council's leading role in keeping pace with developments. technology, and finding innovative solutions to achieve government strategies in the field of digital solutions, sustainable economy, and environmentally friendly work systems in all fields, whether in organizing events, developing organizational work, or continuous improvement in Jeddah services and their development to keep pace with developments.”

The statement indicated: "The (Dubai Sports Excellence Model) was adopted as a basis for evaluating the institutions that fall within the decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, regarding subjecting government sports institutions to the supervision of the Dubai Sports Council. The model took into account the difference in the nature of the work of clubs, sports companies and quality clubs, in a way that ensures justice in the evaluation, and categories were included to evaluate and honor athletes of all categories, and in all sports, to motivate athletes in the Emirate of Dubai to achieve outstanding sports achievements, and shed light on them to be an example Emulated by athletes.

• Standards of the Mathematical Excellence Model

1- Sports achievements: 30%

Points are calculated for each sporting achievement achieved by the club or company in one of the international, continental, Arab, Gulf or local competitions during the last two seasons in individual and team games for clubs and in corporate football competitions.

2- Institutional efficiency: 25%

It is concerned with the extent to which the club or company implements all institutional activities in ways that ensure optimal investment of various resources, whether human or material, and the application of these activities has achieved positive results that have effectively contributed to achieving its strategic objectives.

3- Integrated care for talents: 15%

To evaluate the performance and results of the academies of football companies based on technical and organizational axes, and based on the results of the performance of registered players and promoted to teams and higher levels.

4- Sports facilities: 10%

This criterion focuses on evaluating the quality of sports facilities and the services provided to players, the public and users of sports facilities.

5- Community activities: 5%

Initiatives and programs that have increased the participation of all segments of society, including families, women, children, the elderly, people of determination and others in sports activities, are evaluated.

6- Innovation: 5%

The initiatives that have been implemented to serve sports activity and have led to positive results are evaluated, using pioneering and innovative ideas, or by harnessing and using technology in unprecedented ways.

7- Sportsmanship: 10%

In this criterion, scores are deducted from the club or football company if they have been sanctioned during the last two seasons.
