Daniel Ståhl dominates the discus world.

After the Olympic gold this summer and the World Cup gold in 2019, the Swede now lacks "only" two heavy titles: a European Championship gold and being able to call himself a world record holder.

Then he must break the 35-year-old world record of 74.08 meters, set by German Jürgen Schult.

To get there, Ståhl will train considerably less in the future.

- My plan for Daniel is that he will train less now.

It will probably be up to 25-35 percent less in the next three years, says coach Vésteinn Hafsteinsson to Radiosporten.

He says that it is about saving on the body but still maintaining strength and explosiveness.

The plan requires more breaks and to streamline training, among other things.
