Women's Marathon Wheelchair Tsuchida ranked 4th (08:20)

In the women's marathon wheelchair class, 46-year-old Wakako Tsuchida finished in 4th place with a time of 1 hour 38 minutes 32 seconds.

He was separated from the lead group on the uphill near 40km, and has not reached the medal for the first time in four tournaments since the 2004 Athens Olympics.

Tsubasa Kina, who participated for the first time, finished 7th with a time of 1 hour 42 minutes 33 seconds.

Men's Marathon Wheelchair "Silver Bullet" Four Crowns (7:54)

In the men's marathon wheelchair class, Swiss Marcel Hug, who is also known as the "silver bullet" because of his speed and the color of his helmet, finished in 1 hour 24 minutes 2 seconds and won the gold medal.

This is the fourth gold medal in this tournament.

Tomoki Suzuki of Japan finished in 7th place at 1 hour 30 minutes 45 seconds.

The marathon started at 6:30 am.

It will be held on a course that goes around the center of Tokyo from the start to the finish of the national stadium, and gold medals will be contested in five classes for both men and women.

From Japan, Tomoki Suzuki in the men's wheelchair class, Wakako Tsuchida and Tsubasa Kino in the women's wheelchair class, Tsutomu Nagata in the men's arm-impaired class, and Tadashi Horikoshi in the men's visually impaired class.
