Sitting volleyball is a competition played by a team of six players with disabilities such as legs, and is played while sitting on a court smaller than ordinary volleyball.



Japan, which is ranked 11th in the world ranking, lost 3 consecutive games in the qualifying league where 8 participating teams were divided into 4 teams and played in a round robin, and went to the ranking game to decide 7th and 8th place.



Japan played against Rwanda, the 8th place in the world, which was the lowest in the other group, and was pushed by Rwanda's powerful spike in the first set, dropping 19 to 25.



In the second set, Yukari Tanaka, who continues to play an active role as a pinch server, decided the service ace at the key points, and there was also a scene where the sharp spike of ace Ogata Kokoro won the long rally. He was attacked by a tall opponent from the top of the block and was robbed of points and dropped 21 to 25.
