The coach of the national football team, Dutch Marvik, confirmed that he was saddened by the loss of two points because the team was not able to win the Lebanon match despite the many opportunities it had, noting that the team played the match with a performance that did not reach the level with which it played its past four matches in the qualifiers. The first round, considering that the match was within the reach of the players of the team, and they could have won the match, because the team had a performance rate of about 70%, stressing that if it had not been for Lebanon’s goalkeeper, Mustafa Matar, the team would have scored many goals in the match, stressing that The result of the match has nothing to do with the team's chances of qualifying for the World Cup, as it played one match out of 10 matches.

Marvik said during the press conference after the match: “The way we played the Lebanon match is similar to the one we played in the past four matches, in which the team reached a performance rate of nearly 100%, but the only difference is that the team played this match with a performance less than 10%.” What he did in recent matches.

He explained: "The team's failure to play any friendly match during the preparation period has nothing to do with the outcome of this match, but rather the speed of transferring the ball, and in the first half we made some technical moves."

He added: “We do not want to make excuses, but there are some factors that affected the team’s performance, for example, the player Lima was suffering from injury, and was not ready, and returned from injury in full fitness to play the match, and the player Abdullah Ramadan had a muscle injury, as well as Ali. Salmin, who was suffering from a knee injury, and these players were not ready to play this match because I did not tell them that they would play the match until a few days ago.”

Marvik continued: "The players could not perform a similar performance to what they did in the four matches in the first round, and if they could perform a similar performance to what they did in the first round, this means that the team does not need me as a coach."

Marvik indicated that Walid Abbas and Ali Salmeen are the best players in the defense line in this match.

Hashek: We got a valuable point despite the injuries

The Czech coach of Lebanon, Ivan Hashek, confirmed that he scored a valuable point against the Emirates despite playing the match, and he suffers from many injuries suffered by a number of his players during the preparation stage for the match, especially with "Covid-19".
