Daniel Henderson crashed hard on Wednesday night, when he drove for his all-Swedish club Team Rapid in Eskilstuna.

Henderson, who in the elite series represents the Rospiggarna, was thrown over the air fence when he tried to avoid a collision between two other drivers in the same heat.

He landed hard, and was immediately taken care of by medical staff on the runway and later taken to the hospital in Eskilstuna.

During the night until Thursday, Daniel Henderson was transferred to Karolinska Hospital in Solna for further care.

"The general condition is stable"

On Thursday, the team, Henderson racing, provided new information on social media.

It was announced that Daniel Henderson has a punctured lung, fractures on all twelve ribs on the right side, and a fracture in the lumbar spine.

Rospiggarna's team leader Peter Jansson has been in contact with the team and Daniel Henderson himself, and gives some reassuring information.

- The general condition is stable, and he has mobility in the body.

Then, of course, he is sad about what has happened.

The important thing now is that he can rest up and get well, says Peter Jansson to SVT Sport.
