El-Badry passes a happy piece of information to the Egyptian public after defeating Angola

Hossam El-Badri, coach of the Egyptian national football team, confirmed that there is an opportunity for the presence of the duo Mohamed Salah and Mohamed Elneny, players of Liverpool and Arsenal, on Sunday in the Gabon match in the second round of the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers, after their enforced absence on Wednesday from the Angola match due to British government restrictions not to Corona virus outbreak.

Salah and Al-Nani were absent after the British authorities imposed restrictions on returnees from some countries included in the red list, similar to a 10-day quarantine.

Although the Confederation of African Football and the International Football Association appealed to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to ease restrictions on professional players, things remained in place.

Al-Badri said in the press conference after the match in which Egypt defeated Angola 1-0 with an early penalty kick by Mohamed Magdy “Afsha” at the Air Defense Stadium, “There is an opportunity for Salah and Elneny to be present during the Gabon match. Within 24 hours, matters will be resolved and the vision will become clear that the duo will be with us.” or not".

Regarding the performance of the "Pharaohs" against Angola, Al-Badri said, "I am not satisfied with the performance, but there are matches that you must win only without looking at the performance."

He added, "There was a wrong positioning of some players, which showed the definitely unsatisfactory performance," stressing that the first match is always more difficult and that the players suffered stress with lack of time and injuries, as happened with Akram Tawfik and Omar Jaber.

He pointed out that the penalty kick and the early goal is not the reason for the decline in performance or the Angolan superiority in the midfield, explaining that the players were pressured by their desire to maintain progress and signs of tension appeared.
