Yesterday, the national team captain Janne Andersson held a press conference before the World Cup qualifiers.

Later on Monday, the national team players gathered and on Thursday, Spain is waiting at home - then with an audience in place.

A welcome addition to the stands, says Real Sociedad star Alexander Isak.

- Very nice to have them back, it will give us energy, says the striker.

"A test on Thursday"

Blue and yellow ended up in the same group as Spain at this summer's European Championships.

Then there was a split pot after a goalless event - and Sweden received criticism for the game.

- We get a test on Thursday where we have to make a good match if we are to be able to win the group.

It is important to find the right one with a few new players as quickly as possible.

- We are difficult to get through and it will be frustrating for the opponents.

We won the group so we have to do something well anyway.

A new national team

Since last summer, several Swedish profiles have thanked each other.

Andreas Granqvist, Marcus Berg, Sebastian Larsson, Gustav Svensson and Mikael Lustig are among the names.

And several new ones have been added to the squad.

- It is great players and great personalities who have left.

It is an exciting national team we have going on here, but it is important to make it work, says Isak.

Sweden will face Spain on Thursday, 20.45.
