On the 7th day of the Tokyo Paralympic Games, Takayuki Suzuki won a silver medal in the men's 200m freestyle motor dysfunction class for swimming.


In the men's 200m individual medley visually impaired class, Astronaut Tomita won a bronze medal and two medals in total.

Takayuki Suzuki won the silver medal in the men's 200m freestyle motor dysfunction class.

Suzuki is the fourth medal winner in this tournament, following the men's 100m freestyle gold medal, the men's 50m breaststroke and the men's 150m individual medley bronze medal.

Space player Tomita, who participated in the Paralympics for the first time, won the bronze medal in the visually impaired class of the men's 200m individual medley.


Tomita is the second medal winner in this tournament, following the 400-meter freestyle silver medal.

Number of medals won

Japan won two medals on the 30th, bringing the total to four gold, five silver and 11 bronze.


The total number of medals is 119 in total of 54 gold, 35 silver and 30 bronze in China, followed by 26 gold, 20 silver and 22 bronze in the UK, 68 in total, in descending order of gold medals. The Paralympic Committee has 19 gold, 11 silver and 31 copper, for a total of 61.
