Tonight, Megan Rapinoe scored OL Reigns' two goals in their 2-1 victory over the Portland Thorns in front of a record crowd of 27,248 spectators at Lumen Field in Seattle.

Rapinoe's first goal came in the 16th minute when she put it 1-0 to the left of the goalkeeper.

Before the half-time break, OL Reign was awarded a penalty kick which Rapinoe safely managed.

Portland later reduced to 2-1 but came no closer than that.

Lumen Field has a capacity of 72,000 and this was the first time that Rapinoe and her OL Reign played in such a large arena in NWSL.

- It's hard not to feel that it's a little bittersweet.

That this is the first time we get to play in such a large arena.

"I'm just thinking about what would be possible," she told the Seattle Times.

- Hopefully this is a sign that things are moving forward.

We deserve to play in a bigger arena.

We deserve to play in this arena, she continues.

The previous audience record was 25,218.
