Scheduled for 3 p.m., the start was not given until 6:17 p.m., for only two laps, the minimum stipulated by the regulations for points to be awarded.
Only half of the points are awarded in this case.
Hamilton still leading the championship
Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), third this Sunday, remains the leader of the championship ahead of Verstappen after this 12th round.
