Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo (36) returns to Manchester United (Man United), an English professional footballer after 12 years.

Manchester United announced on the club's website that they had agreed to a contract with Ronaldo.

According to local media such as the BBC, the transfer fee that Manchester United pays to Juventus (Italy) is about 12.8 million pounds (about 20.5 billion won), and Ronaldo's contract period is two years.

Salary and other details are said to be under discussion.

With this, Ronaldo will return to Old Trafford (Man United's home ground) after 12 years after leaving Manchester United for a transfer to Real Madrid (Spain) in 2009.

Ronaldo made his professional debut with Sporting (Portugal) in 2002 and joined Manchester United in 2003 and played for six years under the training of former manager Alex Ferguson, where he grew into a top player.

Ronaldo has had an even more brilliant career with Real Madrid.

He has emerged as the greatest star of his time by winning the Ballon d'Or 5 times and the UEFA Champions League 5 times.

However, his transfer to Juventus in 2018 was not as successful as his time at Real Madrid.

Juventus did not win the European Champions League after signing Ronaldo, and last season, they finished 4th in the regular league and failed to win 7 consecutive titles.

Juventus wanted to sell Ronaldo, whose salary reached £500,000 a week and had one year left on his contract, and Ronaldo also wanted to leave Juventus.

Now all that remains is the signing ceremony to announce a picture of Ronaldo wearing a Manchester United jersey.
