The Japan National Team for Wheelchair Basketball at the Tokyo Paralympics defeated South Korea 59-52 in the qualifying league held at a venue in Tokyo, making it the second consecutive win since the first match.

In the men's wheelchair basketball qualifying league, the 12 participating teams will be divided into two groups of six teams to play in a round robin, and the top four teams will advance to the quarterfinals.

Japan defeated Colombia in the first match and played against South Korea in the second match of the qualifying league held at Ariake Arena in Koto-ku, Tokyo on the 27th.

In the early stages, Japan took the initiative in the match from aggressive defense such as thoroughly marking the opponent's point getter, and Reio Fujimoto, an ace who is doing well in the attack, scored with accurate shots and scored 31 pairs in the first half. He led 21 and 10 points.

In the second half, he was temporarily squeezed by South Korea, but Hide Toyoshima, who responded to the exquisite pass of Renshi Toriumi, scored a shot under the goal and kept the lead until the end to win 59-52.

Japan will win the qualifying league for the second time in a row and will face Canada in the third race on the 28th.
