Dynamo rightly became one of the main newsmakers at the start of the Russian football championship. Sandro Schwartz's wards performed impressively in the first five rounds and sensationally topped the championship standings. In light of this, the confrontation with Lokomotiv was of paramount importance for the blue and white, and depending on its result, it was possible to draw more far-reaching conclusions about the team's prospects for the season.

After the first five matches, Dynamo ranked second in the RPL in terms of the number of goals scored (nine), second only to Zenit in this indicator. But it is one thing to chalk up 28 shots on goal in a meeting with Ural, and quite another to repeat this in a confrontation with one of the leaders of the Russian championship, which has one of the strongest defensive lines in the country. And the blue and white confirmed that their dangerous moments production line continues to work even in such conditions.

Following the results of the Moscow derby, Schwartz's team strengthened its status as the league leader in terms of the number of shots on goal.

Lokomotiv experienced huge problems in the confrontation with opponents preferring vertical football and allowed to disturb Marinato Guilherme 24 times.

One Arsen Zakharyan shot ten times, four times - Denis Makarov, three times - Nicola Moro.

It is all the more remarkable that Sebastian Shimanski distinguished himself in the end.

This season, the Pole is showing enviable productivity, and his track record already includes three goals.

Smolov's phenomenal realization

Dynamo surpassed Lokomotiv by the number of strikes. Already in the first half, they created a serious reserve for themselves (15: 5), but it became colossal in the second. The reason for this was the extremely ambiguous performance of the railway workers. Marko Nikolic's wards suddenly stopped imposing counterplay on the opponent and most of the segment were focused exclusively on defensive actions.

At the end of the first half, it seemed that the Serbian specialist had perfectly prepared for the confrontation with the championship leader. Dmitry Zhivoglyadov appeared on the right flank of the defense, designed to contain both the left winger Zakharyan and the left fullback Diego Laxalt, who regularly supported the attack. At the same time, Dmitry Rybchinsky took a place on the left edge of the midfield, and Francois Camano was paired with Fedor Smolov in the attack, as a result of which Vitaly Lisakovich was on the bench. Experiments continued in the defense center, where this time the duet was composed of Pablo and Tin Jedvai.

It is worth recalling that from the 50th minute, Petersburgers were in the minority, which did not prevent them from creating a number of dangerous episodes at the Guilherme gates.

For now, one has to guess why Lokomotiv, not the most active in the pressure, is retreating in large forces in the second half.

Perhaps the reason is lack of physical readiness or the fact that opponents manage to adapt to his quick exits from defense to attack.

One way or another, the railwaymen again failed the second half and miraculously kept a draw.

One of the main events of this segment was the appearance on the field of the newly-made red-green player Alexis Beck-Bek.

Former midfielder "Kana" came out in the 73rd minute, but left a rather negative impression.

For a representative of his role, he too often made mistakes in passes (67% of passing accuracy), overexposed the ball, and in defense there was not enough tenacity.

In addition, in the very ending, he also received a yellow card.

Only Dmitry Barinov managed to surpass him, for the second time in the season he did not finish the match.

As in the meeting with Ufa, the Lokomotiv midfielder received two yellow cards and was forced to leave the field.

True, this time the removal took place in the 94th minute and did not greatly affect the result.

At Dynamo, Konstantin Tyukavin showed himself with a minus sign, who did not use several correct chances to excel.

The young striker was let down either by an unsuccessful treatment or by the implementation.

Thus, Dynamo could not achieve victory in the meeting with Lokomotiv and go on a break for the national teams' matches in the rank of the leader of the Russian championship.

With 13 points, the blue and white are on the second line, leaving Zenit ahead.
