Thousands of migrant workers have died in the construction of World Cup arenas in Qatar. According to Amnesty, more than half of the cases are left unsolved. Since they were awarded the FIFA World Cup 2022 twelve years ago, the country has been heavily criticized for its treatment of foreign guest workers.
