After Lionel Messi left Barcelona and moved to Paris Saint-Germain, the most valuable lot in the football transfer market was the forward of the French club Kylian Mbappé. There has been more and more talk lately that the 22-year-old world champion will continue his career at Real Madrid, and this topic threatens to become the most talked about in the coming weeks, if not months.

With the arrival of Messi, PSG finally took shape as the club with the most enviable lineup, especially in the attacking line. The Argentinian joined the team, in which, in addition to Mbappe, Neymar, Mauro Icardi, Angel Di Maria, Julian Draxler, Pablo Sarabia and 19-year-old Arno Kalimuendo, who gained experience in rent, had already been collected. Head coach Mauricio Pochettino will soon be faced with the question of how to use this asset. So far, the lack of form in Messi and Neymar, as well as the recent injury of Icardi, "help" maintain the balance. But once all the strikers and wingers are in the ranks, the competition for a spot in the squad among these stars will be overwhelming.

He was the first to make it clear that he was not ready for such a situation, namely Mbappe.

According to AS, the young Frenchman told PSG that he does not want to renew the current agreement, which will end in June 2022.

Real Madrid, which was Mbappe's favorite club as a child, are going to take advantage of this situation to finally sign one of the most talented strikers in the world, for whom he has already applied.

In Spain, the transfer window will close on August 31, and Real Madrid can either try to buy Mbappe before that date, or wait for the opportunity to sign him free of charge next summer.

It was reported that Madrid are already ready to negotiate with PSG and pay up to € 170 million for Mbappe's transfer.

The Parisian club is not interested in parting with one of its main stars, and against the background of this news, it tried to come to an agreement with Mbappé. But, according to RMC Sport, this week the forward turned down another offer. He turned down a five-year contract with an option to renew for another season. Under the new agreement, the footballer would have earned even more, but still inferior in terms of salary to Messi and Neymar. The publication also reported on the "cold" relationship between Mbappe and the sports director of PSG Leonardo.

According to the famous football insider Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid ultimately made an official offer to PSG for € 160 million. According to Marca, this is the largest amount the Spanish club has ever been willing to spend on a single player.

But rather quickly it became known that a refusal was received from Paris.

According to L'Équipe, the club wants to raise at least € 200 million, that is, € 20 million more than it paid for the AS Monaco striker.

When the press became aware of the unsuccessful negotiations between the two clubs, the parties began to comment on the possible transfer.

Leonardo confirmed that the offer was rejected, and Mbappe really wants to leave PSG.

At the same time, he stressed that the forward will be able to leave the club only on certain conditions.

“We will not be held hostage by anyone. If someone wants to leave and fulfills our conditions, then we will consider the situation. This summer we have built a dream scenario for our players, and we will make sure that no one ruins it. We believe that the offer is at variance with the current market value of Kilian. In addition, since we still owe Monaco a portion of the initial transfer fee, we consider this offer insufficient. Kylian Mbappe wants to leave, and it's obvious. Our position is clear, we will not sell in the last week of the transfer window, as this will disrupt our plans. If a player wants to leave, then we will not keep him, but these issues will be resolved on our terms, ”said Leonardo.

The sports director also noted that his priority is the extension of the agreement with Mbappe, and not negotiations with Real Madrid.

Until the amount of the transfer allows you to recoup the costs of moving from Monaco, PSG will not conduct a dialogue.

Real Madrid also commented on the negotiations, but not in such a detailed way.

Velevisa TV commentator Jose Manuel Moreno said that he talked about this with the president of the club Florentino Perez, and he only complained that PSG's response was "rude".

Commenting on the negotiations, Marca journalists believe that now Real Madrid may well wait for the summer and not pay PSG anything. At the same time, the appearance of Mbappe in Madrid is regarded by many as a settled issue. The following facts are cited as arguments: the Frenchman has been a fan of Real Madrid since childhood and will be happy to become its leader, which he could not do in Paris with the appearance of Neymar. Mbappe may also be on the same team with Karim Benzema, who is well known to him from the national team, who, according to media reports, persuaded the young compatriot to move to the royal club.
