Yang Hyun-jong, a left-handed pitcher from Texas in Mipro Baseball, has stepped on the big league stage again.

The Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB) said, "We have called up Hyun-Jong Yang, infielder Ryan Dorow, and left-handed pitcher Jake Latz."

Yang Hyun-jong was immediately added to the 26-man roster.

Yang Hyun-Jong returned to MLB for the first time in 69 days after being removed from the roster on June 17.

Yang Hyun-jong was removed from the roster on June 17th after recording a three-loss ERA of 5.59 in MLB at the beginning of this season, and was placed on standby for release on the 18th.

Instead of returning to Korea, he chose the path of challenge again, and he bit his teeth in the Triple-A Team Round Rock Express uniform.

They didn't do well in the minor leagues either.

On the 21st, he had 3 losses and a 5.60 ERA in 10 games, including starting as a bullpen pitcher.

The reason I was able to step on the MLB stage again despite the poor performance was due to the circumstances of the Texas team.

The Texas team is currently experiencing the worst power shortage due to string injuries to key players and the spread of COVID-19.

On the 24th, right-handed pitcher Drew Anderson and left-handed infielder Brock Holt were placed on the injured list in the aftermath of COVID-19, and on the 25th, mixed-race Korean players Dane Dunning, right-handed Spencer Howard, and catcher Jonah Haim were missing for the same reason.

The starting rotation has completely collapsed.

Ratz, who rose from the minor leagues, will start the game against the Cleveland Indians on the 26th.

The starting pitcher for the match against the Houston Astros on the 28th is vacant.

Texas general manager Chris Young said in an interview with local media that day, "It looks like more players will need to move to the roster."

Yang Hyun-jong's entry into the MLB was made not because of his talent, but because of the team's circumstances. There is a possibility of being relegated to the minor leagues again depending on whether the existing players recover or not.
