The statement added that "the previous Paralympic sessions witnessed many achievements for the Emirati and Arab champions of people of determination, as hundreds of Arab athletes participate in the current Paralympic Games, including a number of winners in the categories of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Sports Creativity, led by the Emirati champions, Mohammed Khamis in Powerlifting competitions, shooter Abdullah Sultan Al-Ariani, athletics champion Mohammed Al-Qayed, who carried the state flag at the opening ceremony, Ahmed Mubarak Al-Mutaiwee in bicycle competitions, Egyptian champion Ibrahim Hamdto in table tennis competitions, and others.

The award’s board of trustees announced the extension of the nomination period for the 11th session until midnight on September 15, to give athletes with achievements in the Tokyo Summer Olympics and the Summer Paralympic Games the opportunity to run and win the grand prize in terms of the value of its rewards and the number of its categories, whether individual or collective. The awards are given according to the level of achievement, or the institutional category in which the winner will be chosen, according to the competition axis, which is “creative initiatives, programs and projects that aim to empower communities through sports, and have contributed to facing global challenges in the sports field.”
