At the summer national high school baseball championship that opened at Koshien Stadium on August 10, PCR tests were to be conducted up to three times before and during the tournament for representative schools, but the postponement due to rain continued. Due to the lengthening of the tournament, 17 schools that appeared in the first round were subjected to additional PCR tests after winning the second round.



On the 24th, Takano Ren and others announced that all 297 people, including athletes and directors, were negative as a result of PCR tests conducted at nine target schools.



In the future, we plan to inspect the four schools that won the quarterfinals.



On the other hand, apart from the inspection set by the tournament headquarters, Miyagi's Tohoku Gakuin and Miyazaki Commercial inspected individually due to the fever of the athletes, and as a result, it was confirmed that the athletes were infected with the new coronavirus, and the two schools participated.
