World No.4 Rafael Nadal announced on Friday August 20 that he was ending his season due to pain in his foot.
He had played only one tournament since his elimination in the semi-final at Roland Garros against Novak Djokovic.
"Hello everyone: I wanted to tell you that unfortunately I have to put an end to my 2021 season. Honestly, I am going through a year where I have a lot more foot pain than I should", writes the 34-year-old Spaniard on his account Twitter.
