Afghanistan youth national team player Zaki Anwari was killed after falling from an American plane while trying to flee his country, after the Taliban announced their control of Kabul.

Yesterday, Thursday, the General Sports Authority of Afghanistan announced the death of Anwari, 19, and said that he was among "hundreds of young people who tried to leave the country by climbing into US army planes."

And local reports spoke of finding parts of Anwari's body in the landing gear room of a "Boeing C-17" aircraft of the US Air Force.

17-year-old Zaki Anwari, a member of Afghanistan's youth soccer team, was among the people who died desperately trying to cling to a US military plane leaving Kabul.

The airport in the Afghan capital, Kabul, has witnessed chaos since last Sunday, after the Taliban announced their control of the capital, Kabul.

Thousands of Afghans tried to escape on board US army planes that were intended to transport American nationals, and Afghans who had suffered with the US army during the years of its war in Afghanistan.
