New Roma coach Jose Mourinho tops the list of the most important technicians who have recently assumed their duties, in the new season of the Italian Football League, which begins today.

The summer period witnessed a sudden transfer of "Special One" to the Italian capital club, to be one of the 12 new coaches in "Serie A" this season.

The following are the most prominent new coaching faces in the Italian League:

Jose Mourinho (Roma)

The return of Jose Mourinho, the two-time Champions League winner with his compatriot Porto and Inter, has attracted the attention of many, especially Roma fans who are "eager" to achieve after lean seasons.

The controversial Portuguese coach's shares declined somewhat after fluctuating results during his two stages in the English Premier League with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, but his mark in the Italian league is still immortal thanks to his historic hat-trick with Inter a decade ago.

The former Real Madrid coach admits that Rome is going through a re-establishment phase, and he will need all his training experience in order to return the capital's team to the European competition amid a struggle that will not be easy.

Massimiliano Allegri (Juventus)

Allegri returns to his favorite stage, which was a witness to his most important training achievements, after his absence for two years from the stadiums, and he is among three famous names of coaches who will regain their technical duties.

Juventus was unable to qualify for the Champions League until the last stage of the league last season, after unstable results under the leadership of its former player and coach Andrea Pirlo.

Allegri will look to continue winning titles with the Turin club, after he led him to win the League and Cup double four seasons in a row, between the 2015 and 2018 seasons.

Allegri is considered one of the pragmatic coaches, as he was credited with restoring the luster of the "Old Lady" team at the European level, after leading him to the final of the continental competition twice, despite his failure to win both times in the 2015 and 2017 seasons.

Simone Inzaghi (Inter)

Former Lazio and Italy striker Simone Inzaghi will have a daunting task, after taking over the helm of the defending champion Inter, succeeding Antonio Conte, who left after winning the Scudetto title due to administrative problems.

The departure of Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku (to Chelsea) and Moroccan right-back Achraf Hakimi (to Paris Saint-Germain) will pose a challenge to Inzaghi, especially in light of Inter's efforts to reduce expenses and secure financial balance due to the financial crisis experienced by its Chinese owners.

Inzaghi has a positive resume after he managed to keep his former club Lazio in the league for five years despite his modest budget, and led him to win the local cup and return to the Champions League stage for the first time in 13 years, to take on more delicate and sensitive tasks in a club that is finally going through a period troubled.

Luciano Spalletti (Naples)

Spalletti is one of the most controversial faces in Italian football, with his nervous and angry demeanor often overshadowing his great potential as a coach.

He led Inter to the Champions League in two seasons, before he was sacked in 2019, and is the only coach in the last 20 years to lead Roma to trophies.

The 62-year-old coach inherits a talented squad that failed to qualify for the Champions League, after the team finished fifth, trailing an orphan point behind Juventus, who finished fourth in qualification for the continental competition (78 vs. 77).

Napoli will be one of the favorites to occupy one of the top four places in “Serie A” this season.

Maurizio Sarri (Lazio)

The "derby" of the capital, which brings together Roma and Lazio, will catch the eye again, as the two clubs seek to present advanced offers compared to previous seasons, and the competition will become more exciting with the anticipation of the confrontation between Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri and his counterpart in Rome, the Portuguese Mourinho.

Sarri's task will be the most difficult among his peers as coaches, as Lazio will have to get used to their 4-3-3 style of play with speed and decisive passing, after years of playing 3-5-2 under the supervision of his predecessor Inzaghi.
