20-year-old Jonna Malmgren has been responsible for a successful effort in the 53-kilo class at JVM in Ufa, Russia.
She excelled until the semifinals where she took on - and defeated - the American Jaslynn Gallegos.
Then the bronze medalist from this summer's JEM, Mihaela Samoil, who also offered great contributions in the tournament, was waiting.

Malmgren took home the victory in the final - and the gold belt could be buttoned around the waist.
- It was of course nervous and I knew what was coming.
I felt I was in control the whole match, but I got a little stuck.
I got a little sweaty there at the end but we solved it, says the new champion.
Malmgren believes that she dotted the form before the championship and that all preparations went according to plan.
She has previously been European Champion twice and Olympic Champion once.
