Henrik Stenson went out on the second round in the Czech capital in a split lead.

The Swedish golf star followed up a nice first round with successful play even on day two.

He did not make a single bogey all day and accounted for three birdies.

In total, he lands on eight strokes under par after two rounds, just two strokes from the lead.

But it is another Swede who has acquired an even better battle situation.

30-year-old Sebastian Söderberg stood for a super round on Friday and climbed properly in the results list.

There were seven birdies, one eagle and only one bogey for the Swede.

He went around 64 strokes, eight under par, and has stepped up in the lead alone, one stroke ahead of Sean Crocker from the USA and the Pole Adrian Meronk.

Stenson has had a lead-heavy season with hopes of being able to find the form on the European Tour to possibly be relevant for games in the prestigious Ryder Cup tournament.

As if by chance, Stenson went in the same ball as European Ryder Cup captain Padraig Harrington in the first two rounds in Prague.
