Infectious disease experts and others attended the meeting held by the Organizing Committee to discuss measures against the new corona at the Tokyo Paralympics.



Among them, there are athletes who are at high risk of becoming seriously ill, so there was an opinion that countermeasures should be taken more thoroughly as the infection situation in Japan worsens, and in response to this, the Organizing Committee will consider strengthening countermeasures. It was decided.



Specifically, we will increase the number of inspections for people who enter and leave the Olympic Village, ask people involved in domestic competitions to refrain from eating out and drinking in groups, and for people who come to Japan from overseas. Consideration is being given to requesting that infection control rules be followed even after the 14-day quarantine period.



On the other hand, there was an opinion that it is necessary to take thorough safety measures to reduce the risk of infection when watching children's games with school cooperation watching tickets.



At a press conference, the chairman of the expert meeting, Nobuhiko Okabe, director of the Kawasaki City Institute of Health and Safety, said, "If you are going to watch children, do not thoroughly follow the infection manners, such as round-trip transportation and how to watch the game at the venue.
