Benzema extends his contract with Real Madrid until 2023

Real Madrid, the Spanish first division football club, confirmed today, Friday, the extension of the contract of its veteran French international striker Karim Benzema, to continue the link between the two parties until 2023.

The old contract of Benzema only lasted until next summer, but the club moved to extend the link after the departure of captain Sergio Ramos after the expiration of his contract earlier this year so that the situation with the French star would not be repeated.

Benzema joined the Royal Club in 2009 and participated with him in 560 matches in all competitions. He is the fifth highest scorer in the club throughout the ages, with 281 goals.

During this period, Benzema won the Champions League four times with Real and the Spanish League three times.
