The Portuguese soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo reacted indignantly and with drastic words to ongoing speculation about his alleged departure from the Italian record champions Juventus Turin. “I cannot allow my name to be played with. That's why I break my silence and have to clarify my point of view. Even more than the way I deal with me as a person and player, the dubious media reports about my future are disrespect to all the clubs affected and their players and employees, ”wrote the goalscorer on his Instagram channel.

In the past few weeks, several newspapers linked Ronaldo with various top clubs in Europe. Because the 36-year-old is said to be dissatisfied in Turin after three unsuccessful attempts to win the Champions League a year before his contract expires, there were rumors about a move to Paris Saint-Germain or his home club Sporting Lisbon as well as speculation about a return to Spanish record title winner Real Madrid. It was only on Tuesday that Corriere dello Sport reported that Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes is said to have offered the former world footballer to the English champion Manchester City.

In particular, the repeated publications about a Real comeback annoy Ronaldo, who had triumphed four times with the Royal in Europe's premier class and won two championship titles, apparently very much. "My story at Real is written - in words and numbers, in trophies and titles, in records and headlines, in the Bernabeu Museum and in the minds of the fans," wrote the former European champion. Especially since Real coach Carlos Ancelotti recently denied all Ronaldo rumors on social networks: "I don't want to get him."

According to Ronaldo's posting, all transfer reports are unfounded: "There have been regular reports of alleged news and stories linking me to a number of clubs in different leagues without anyone bothering to find out the truth." Most importantly, Ronaldo described his concentration on his work and his preparations for upcoming challenges: "Everything else is just talk." In his fire letter, however, a not insignificant detail was missing: a commitment to Juventus.
