A torch relay has started in Shizuoka prefecture for the Tokyo Paralympics, which is about to begin a week later.

Some sections were held on public roads, but other sections were affected by the spread of infection and debris flow damage, and ran inside the stadium.

The Tokyo Paralympic torch relay in Shizuoka Prefecture began at the athletics stadium in Naka-ku, Hamamatsu City, with more than 100 runners connecting the torch.

The torch relay continued to be run by runners with impaired legs and vision with the torch.

In addition, from Omaezaki City to Kikugawa City, this time it was the only public road.

The runner was Shota Iizuka, who was born in Omaezaki City and participated in the Tokyo Olympics 200-meter track and field men, and ran while waving along the road.

Iizuka said, "I was able to have a valuable experience while being watched by the locals. I want the players to show their strength so that they will not regret it."
