Eintracht player before change: Now Younes is lured by the "port" in Arabia

For a while, Amin Younes felt at home in Frankfurt.

The Frankfurt Eintracht professional said that the Main metropolis was his "harbor", which he had now found.

It sounded like the dribbling midfielder wanted to settle down in Frankfurt after his return to Germany and stints in Italy and the Netherlands.

His verbally expressed affection for the local Bundesliga location has not only lasted. Younes will not stay on board with the Hessians and will instead move to Saudi Arabia to the local first division club Al-Shabab Riyadh. The negotiations between the two clubs are on the home stretch, the most important points have already been clarified. The transfer will officially take place in the coming days. In return, the Brazilian Carlos Vinicius from Benfica Lisbon could join forces. Frankfurt are interested in signing the 26-year-old striker, who still has a contract in Portugal until July 1, 2024.

After the first offer from Al-Shabab Riyadh was around three million euros, the club now offered about four million euros in transfer for Younes.

In this case, Eintracht considers that to be appropriate.

The first step on their job slip was to pull the purchase option for Younes at SSC Napoli.

For the transfer fee of around two million euros, the previous loaner will initially switch permanently to the Frankfurt team, before they will then sell him on to Saudi Arabia.

Not a common denominator

A job change in quick succession. Younes is said to have wished for this and therefore commissioned his consultants some time ago to find him a new employer in the Middle East. Then, according to Younes, money plays a supporting role for him.

Glasner had tried to involve Younes.

The coach said he thought he was an important player if Younes was willing to give it his all.

For Eintracht he was only allowed to run the full distance of 90 minutes once.

Injury problems ensured that he often sat on the bench in the final spurt of the past season.

In addition, there were disagreements with the former coach Adi Hütter in the pre-season game in Dortmund.

Younes is said to have been called to order by several leading players.

Younes' team-mate Christopher Lenz reported on Tuesday that he had "not found out that much from Amin himself" about his future. But that has been clarified. Younes will pull down the tents in Frankfurt in the coming days and find a new sporty home in Saudi Arabia.
