Yoshitomo Tsutsugo, who has made a free contract with the 3A team under the Dodgers of Major League Baseball, will be transferred to Pirates.

The 29-year-old Tsutsugo was out of force in May, the second year of the Major League Baseball, and even the Dodgers who transferred to him were out of force last month.

After that, he continued to play for the 3A team under the Dodgers, but as the Dodgers continued to reinforce for the victory, it became a free contract on the 14th.

In response to this, it was revealed on the 15th that Pirates will acquire Tsutsugo and will be placed in the 40-player limit of the major leagues.

The Pirates are currently sunk to the bottom of the Central League, and are believed to have evaluated Tsutsugo's extra-base hitting ability, which has been improving with 10 home runs since July in 3A.

Tsutsugo commented, "I feel the joy of playing baseball in a new place and with new friends. I will concentrate on what I can do at Pirates and do my best to contribute to the team."

Tsutsugo has already entered Los Angeles, where the team will fight the Dodgers from the 16th, and is aiming for a comeback with Pirates, the third major league baseball team.
