The 2019 season was a real hit for Anna Swenn Larsson, who took her career's first individual championship medal when she won the World Cup silver in slalom at home in Åre.

But after that it has been tougher for the Swede.

In December 2020, she first tested positive for covid-19 and only weeks later she broke her foot.

The injury caused her to miss the World Cup in Cortina, Italy.

"I think it will be completely good"

Eight months after the injury, and with two more months until the World Cup premiere, she still feels the foot.

- I feel it, I can definitely do it, but it feels better, but it is not completely painless, says Anna Swenn Larsson to Expressen.

- I think it will be completely good, but it always takes longer than you think.

The Olympics the big goal

She is able to train without painkillers but thinks about how she trains.

- It's nothing straightforward so that I pull out and run 30 miles, I think a little about what I do to get the best out of skiing.

In six months, it's time for the Olympics in Beijing - the 30-year-old's big goal.

- It is clear that it is a huge goal that I have, there I want to be in my best shape, but I try not to focus on it.

I just focus on getting better every day.
