The largest surfing pool in Japan used by Amuro Tsuzuki, who won the bronze medal in surfing at the Tokyo Olympics, opened for the general public in Makinohara City, Shizuoka Prefecture on the 16th, and surfers who visited made various waves. Had fun.

Opened in Makinohara City is one of the largest surfing pools in Japan that can artificially create waves with a maximum height of 2 meters and about 80 types of waves.

It was built by a private company in collaboration with prefectures and cities to train top athletes who are active in the world and to liven up the area through surfing.

While infection control measures were taken, such as limiting the use of the facility to 10 people per hour, surfers enjoyed riding various waves that are difficult to experience in the natural sea.

This pool was used by Amuro Tsuzuki, who won the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics surfing girls, at the training camp.

A fifth grade boy from Aichi Prefecture said, "I want to go to the Olympics in the future, so I want to practice a lot. It's fun because I can practice on the same waves many times, unlike the ocean waves."

Toshihiko Adachi, president of "Surf Stadium Japan", which operates the pool, said, "I want you to experience various waves from children to those who aim to become professionals throughout the year."
