Louice Halvarsson missed this summer's European Championship play-offs due to long-term coronary heart disease.

Now she is completely recovered but will still not play any basketball next season.

- I am expecting my second child so there will be no basketball this season, says Louice Halvarsson, who among other things misses Sweden's European Championship qualifiers, to SVT Sport.

"Was not really planned"

The child is expected in November.

After that, the 32-year-old aims to return to basketball.

- Since this was not really planned, I want to come back and end my basketball career.

I want to finish basketball in a way that feels good, she says.

Halvarsson's contract with Tarbes expires next year.

But she hopes for continued play in the French club coached by Swedish Francisco Pinto.

- I would like to play another season in France.

Vincent (her son) went to school there and everything worked very well, it feels like a second home.

But we'll see, I do not know if they are interested next season.

I've talked to Pinto a bit, I know him so I still think the possibility exists if I manage to come back.

Opens for the European Championships

After the European Championships, Frida Eldebrink and Kalis Loyd chose to leave the national team.

Halvarsson, on the other hand, has not made a final decision.

- It's hard to say now, you feel pretty done with the national team but I do not close doors.

Can you imagine playing the European Championship 2023 if Sweden goes there?

- Yes I can.
