Sweden's Olympic gold medalist from 2018 Hanna Öberg recharges before the Olympic Games in February.

Last winter, she was up to a new level in being able to push herself on training and it cost more than she thought it would do.

Now she has the autumn plan ready for her.

- It's about getting enough energy for what you get rid of and knowing how much things cost.

In recent years, I have had a good basic knowledge of what I need to eat.

"It's more likely"

It is also about getting to know the body, she says.

- For example, we have the Swedish Championships in roller skiing here next weekend and the plan is to make glucose measurements to know how much a competition day costs and get a clue about it, even if it is different now in the summer than in the winter.

Öberg will compete more sparingly until the Olympics.

- Yes, it is quite certain that I will not go to all the competitions in the World Cup.

Exactly what the plan will look like is not yet clear.

- As it begins to approach the Olympics, fine adjustments will be made in the competition program.

I see it as more likely that I go everything before Christmas than after.

"Applies to be acclimatized"

The Beijing Olympics mean high-altitude competition.

And that means athletes need to be acclimatized.

A three-week high-altitude camp in France is waiting soon, which will be an important part of the recharging.

- It is to teach us how long it takes for everyone to acclimatize. Every time you are at high altitude, you probably get a little better at acclimatizing.
