• Soccer This is how the 2,700 million CVC will be distributed in LaLiga

  • Controversy The RFEF charges against the LaLiga-CVC agreement: "Illegal, opportunistic, terrible, regrettable ..."

LaLiga and CVC have approved a modification of their initial agreement that will presumably avoid the definitive unleashing of their war with Real Madrid and Barcelona. As reported by 'Marca', the investment fund has put on the table the option of leaving out of the agreement those clubs that wish to do so, keeping

10% of the television rights

of those who vote in favor and modulating your financial offer based on the decision taken by each of the 42 clubs. The proposal has been approved with 38 votes in favor, all except those of Madrid, Barcelona, Athletic and, apparently, Amorebieta.

In the absence of a more detailed explanation, the new formula is that CVC will contribute the 2,700 million euros initially agreed.

The part that corresponds to the clubs that vote against will be reserved for them for three years, in case they change their mind.

If after that time they do not join the agreement, CVC would withdraw the proportional part of its investment destined to those clubs.

In this way, the clubs opposed to the agreement would keep their television rights intact, while the others

would yield 10% of their share for 50 years

.

Both LaLiga and CVC would benefit from the impulse of Barça and Madrid when it comes to selling the collective rights, but the investment fund would not extract a single euro from the part that corresponds to the two greats of Spanish football.
