The football authorities have decided to crack down on some of the supporters of Montpellier.

Two stands at the Mosson stadium were closed as a precaution after the throwing of projectiles that enamelled the reception of Marseille in Ligue 1 on Sunday, announced Wednesday the Disciplinary Commission of the League.

The Corbières and Etang de Thau stands will be closed to the public while this file is being investigated.

The next meeting of the Disciplinary Commission is set for August 18, four days before the reception of Lorient, the next match scheduled at La Mosson.

Four people in custody

The Commission had been seized because of “throwing objects of which one injured a player”.

A bottle had indeed touched the Marseille environment Valentin Rongier, inflicting a cut in his mouth.

Two people had been taken into custody after the meeting for these throwing projectiles, in addition to two others for threats against OM fans.

The Marseille club won 3-2 at the start of the season.
