Biles came to Tokyo as the reigning Olympic champion in four disciplines, but first broke the team competition and later withdrew to the all-around final.

After that, she also withdrew from the finals in jumping, needles and freestyle, due to mental illness.

But before the Olympics were over, she made a comeback in the boom final - and took bronze.

Compared to military PSD

This weekend, she, along with other Olympic participants from the USA, participated in a video conversation with US President Joe Bilden.

And one of the athletes who received the biggest tributes from Biden was Biles.

The American president compared the pressure that Biles had to endure during the Olympics with the pressure that soldiers who suffer from post-traumatic pressure have to deal with, and Biden explained that Biles has now become a role model for all other people:

- You had the courage to say "I need help, and I need time".

And you set a good example for everyone else.

And guess what?

You came back up on that damn boom!

Biles explained to Biden that the Olympics did not go as she had expected, but that she still believes she will be able to appreciate it in the future.

- That I put my mental and and physical health first will probably stand as one of my main achievements.
