The planned start time for tomorrow's Olympic final, at 11 local time (04 Swedish time), has aroused criticism and the two final teams have asked Fifa and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to move it to the afternoon.

At 14 o'clock the day before the match, Tokyo time, no message had yet arrived.

However, Fifa announced at the last minute - 40 minutes before it was time - that both teams' planned press conferences will be moved from the afternoon to tonight.

Has two scenarios

It is unclear whether it indicates that a move of the match is underway, comments the Swedish national team.

"We have only received the message from Fifa's media staff that the press conferences have been moved as no information about the match time has yet been made.

We have not yet received any further answers about the decision itself ", writes Sweden's press manager Fredrik Madestam in a statement.

"We do not interpret any decision about the press conference in any way, but continue to wait for a clear message about the match time."

On Wednesday, Sweden's national team manager Marika Domanski told Lyfors that they are preparing based on two scenarios, either that the match is played at 11 o'clock as planned, or that it is moved to 17 o'clock, and then possibly to another arena.
