Barcelona announced today, Thursday, that the captain of the soccer team, Lionel Messi, will leave the club, despite the two parties reaching an agreement after the club indicated economic and structural obstacles in the issue of contract renewal.
The Spanish club added in an official statement: "Both parties deeply regret that it will not be possible to fulfill the wishes of the player and the club in the end."
