Al-Masatafa joined the Jordanian karate team for the first time in 2011.
The player was close to securing at least one silver medal for Jordan, but lost in the semi-finals 2-0 to Turkish Eray Samdan.
Al-Musafa was suspended from playing and external participation in 2016 and 2017 due to personal differences with the Jordanian Karate Federation.
