Before the Tokyo Olympics racewalking will be held in Sapporo City from the 5th, a rehearsal was held on the 4th using the actual course after traffic restrictions were applied.

The Tokyo Olympics racewalking will be 20km for boys on the 5th and 50km for boys and 20km for girls on the 6th, both of which will go around "Sapporo Ekimae Dori" which connects Sapporo Station and downtown Susukino. I am.

Prior to this, on the 4th, a rehearsal was held in which university students walked in anticipation of the actual performance, and traffic was restricted around the course from 1:30 pm.

In the rehearsal, in addition to measuring the distance of the lap course for confirmation, we carefully checked whether the time measuring equipment and relay equipment worked as planned.

There were some spectators around the course, but the staff of the tournament called for cooperation so that they would not stay there in light of the self-restraint of watching games along the road.

The traffic regulation on the 4th will be lifted at 7:00 pm, but on the day of the performance after the 5th, the traffic regulation will be enforced for up to 17 hours around the course.

A high school boy who passed by said, "It's inconvenient because the roads can't be reached, but I think it's unavoidable because it's the Olympic Games."

Also, a man in his 50s said, "When I saw the race venue, I realized that I was really going to do it in Sapporo. I watch the game on my TV at home."
