Emilien Jacquelin loves cycling and he had surely imagined something else for this cycling trip in full summer preparation with his friends from the French biathlon team, in Sirdal, Norway.

Our national Lucky Luke came out of his last cycling trip with "a fracture of the inner end of the radius with a slight anterior displacement requiring surgery" to use the words of the doctor of the French biathlon teams, Stéphane de Jesus, after falling from his machine.

First in plaster, Emilien Jacquelin underwent early surgery on Tuesday.

His preparation for the coming season should be slowed down, but not necessarily compromised.

However, the French will not be able to practice skiing or biathlon for an estimated period of four to six weeks.
