Brazil advanced to the men's soccer final at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by beating Mexico 4-1 on penalties. 



Brazil entered the penalty shootout after failing to break the 0-0 balance with Mexico in overtime in the quarterfinals of the tournament held at Kashima Stadium in Ibaraki, Japan on the 3rd. 



Brazil scored goals from both the first and second kickers, while Mexico missed out in a row. 



The third kicker for both teams scored the goal. 



Brazil qualified for the final with a goal from the fourth kicker.
