Örebro has had a goal and, to say the least, a poor season.

During the break, Nahir Besara was recruited from Hatta FC in the United Arab Emirates to change that.

And as he has stepped forward.

When Örebro on Monday night looked to go on another points loss, the goal came which gave three points, the first victory since May 12 and a step up from the jumbo place in the table.

This after a swinging and fairly even match at Studenternas IP where Sirius had most of the moving game and Örebro mostly dominated in the fixed.

First goal for Victory

Eighteen minutes into the match, for example, Örebro's Danish midfielder Andreas Skovgaard was extremely close to an early lead goal when he met a nice post from Kevin Walker and then nodded in 1-0 but the ball went through the crossbar and over instead with a little help from Sirius goalkeeper David Mitov Nilsson fingertips.

The dividend on Kevin Walker's fine job as a corner kicker came instead in the final minute of the first half.

Walker looked in towards the mess of nick-sucked teammates but feigned everyone and sent the ball towards the edge of the penalty area.

There, midfield colleague David Seger received the ball and sent in with a perfect right-footed goal his first Allsvenskan goal of the season, rock hard in the middle of the goal.

- We had not talked at all about that variant before.

I shouted at Kevin but did not think he heard but he played a little stupid and not even I thought he understood that I was ready.

Then came a perfect pass… great to get it in just before the break, said David Seger pleased to Discovery +.

Besara perfectly placed

In the 66th minute, however, Sirius' 21-year-old midfielder Laorent Shabani looked to ruin the evening for Örebro when he was last on a flickering whim and nodded in his first Allsvenskan goal of his career.

But then came the goal that saved the rising Örebro heel.

After 85 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defense allowed Taha Abdi Ali to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors.

The 30-year-old made no mistakes but sent in the winning goal distinctly along the ground, 2-1.

- I aimed where I wanted to get it in!

And I'm not complaining, but if I had had a little better match form I might have scored another goal.

But I'm content with this, says Nahir Besara to Discovery + and concludes:

- The team was sprained before I came here but there is quality.

It's just a matter of getting the guys started.

The rest of us can come in with energy and confidence.
